Blessed...

So this past Sunday, 8/8/2009, i attended theCompany's audition...i wasn't expecting to go far with it, but i knew i wanted to have a good time regardless and learn from the day. It turned out to be a pretty long day, but was still enjoying every minute. I felt starstruck for the dancers that i look up to were all there haha, Shaun, Pat, George Anzaldo, Mikey Fal, and Jeka. It was crazy to see all of them. The turnout was i think was 94 dancers total...pretty big. I was number 66, so the process lasted awhile haha. Shaun taught a piece and we were all instructed to recite what we did in front of Shaun and Pat in groups of 6. It was cut, after cut, after cut. The total 94 shrunk down to a pretty small number. As the last group was called in, imcluding me...Pat sat us down and said "Welcome to the Team." CRAZY! I attended the audition, and was now blessed with the oppurtunity to share the floor and events to come with all of these dancers that I've been looking up to. Shaun's words were, This is going to be a great year." I am truly thankful and looking forward to learning and soaking everything in...now a part of theCompany!

DALY Grind!

So this past weekend, me and some of my boys hit up Daly City for a Sunday and took The Company's monthly workshop! The line-up was; Jason Rilerra (APT), Pat Cruz, and Shaun Evaristo! We were sooo stoked to go take from the people we look up to most! Taking class from Shaun is always the greatest experience! I've looked up to Pat for the longest as well, and this was my first time taking from him, so that was a dope experience as well...The weekend as a whole completely opened my eyes wider and made me think. Being there in Daly City and taking from some of the best dancers/choreographers and being able to share the floor with many other talented (amazing) dancers is a feeling on a higher level. The day in whole was completely inspirational! ...it's time to step my game up.

Doin' Work!

Wow! What a weekend! I feel completely blessed and honored! The workshop as of 3/7/09 was a great success! It was a great day and a blessing to have soo many great dancers and soo much talent all in one room. It felt good to share the floor, teach a class, dance and connect with soo many people that love to do the one thing that we all love, DANCE! The class line-up was Jadrien, then Isaac a.k.a. iSick and I. Jadrien taught the first class, then Isaac and I collabo'd on the second. The room was filled with dancers from all over the Central Valley, from Fresno to LA. Close friends, and new friends all around. I thank you all for coming out and making this such a fun and huge success. God Bless!

Dancers get their game on too!

Okay so...I decided to update and spoil myself a bit. I had the 1st gen XBox and a PS2 for the longest time. Up until recently I decided I wanted to upgrade hahas, and get with the rest of todays technology. So I traded in all my games for both my XBox and PS2 along with both systems and all controllers to help go towards getting a PS3! I got like $100 total for everything. I was kinda ehh, but good at the same time seeing as those old systems are starting to really fall off the market. My boy "Spartan" (miguelwilson.blogspot.com btw) and my boy Andy were my inspirations and backed me on getting a PS3, they pulled me in haha. I bought a 40gb system and got one free game, so I knew LittleBigPlanet was dope and got that, and I was dying to get Street Fighter 4 and bought that as well...pretty good investment In my opinion! haha

Success is the Best Revenge!

So this past weekend was my Studio's first Competition for the 09' season. "Spotlight Dance Competiton." I had 8 routines total that I choreographed an put together. 1 of the 8 my boss and personal friend, Shawna Pribble, and I collaborated on. That one we titled, "Paparazzi." And in my personal opinion, I think we made a pretty dope piece. My Junior group, "U.M.C." consisted of 4 boys and 2 Girls. Their all between 9 - 12 yrs. old. But performed like adults, they were amazing! I've worked them really hard and drilled the choreography into them! (Love you guys!) haha. All their hard work payed off...They took FIRST overall out of the whole competition in their category! How dope huh!? I am proud of you all! Now we only have to work harder and stay consistent...
